These inner city lefties who are pushing this garbage don’t really care about the globe. They want some type of utopia where everyone is at the same level. Instead of helping the devolping world catch up to the rest of in terms of economy they want us to be brought down to the lower level through this cap and trade

So why do leaders like Barack Obama and British Prime Minister Gordon Brown continue identifying themselves with the climate change agenda and policies like cap and trade? Perhaps it’s best to see this as a clash of classes. Today’s environmental movement reflects the values of a large portion of the post-industrial upper class. The big money behind the warming industry includes many powerful corporate interests that would benefit from a super-regulated environment that would all but eliminate potential upstarts.
These people generally also do not fear the loss of millions of factory, truck, construction and agriculture-related jobs slated to be “de-developed.” These tasks can shift to China, India or Vietnam–where the net emissions would no doubt be higher–at little immediate cost to tenured professors, nonprofit executives or investment bankers. The endowments and the investment funds can just as happily mint their profits in Chongqing as in Chicago.

Matthew Johns vs Skaf brothers

Listening and reading about what Matthew Johns and the rest of the Cronulla team did seven years ago made me think that what they did was exactly what the Skaf brothers did back in 2000.

The Skaf brothers organised for those girls to be pack raped by contacting others on their mobile phones.

The attackers used SMS and mobile phones to orchestrate the attacks, utilizing this technology to phone ahead to other attackers to co-ordinate timely transport of rape gang members to the locations where women were being held. Authorities later intercepted these phone records, and a small sample of this material was released to the media, the rest being too offensive to publicise. The attackers texted such messages as “When you are feeling down …bash a Christian or Catholic and lift up”.[23] and “I’ve got a slut with me bro, come to Punchbowl”. [24]

Was what Matthew Johns and the other unnamed player did any different. One of the two of those players contacted the rest of the team (12 out 17 possible players were involved) to have them come and join in.

Even if the initial sex with Matthew Johns and the other unnamed player was consensual as the police have said, the fact that they called in so many other to join in is no different to what the Skaf brothers did and they should be held to that same low standard that we hold the brothers for what they did.

This is not the first time in recent news that a judge has made comments that have you questioning what they are truly thinking.

A predatory teacher who took the virginity of an infatuated student and had sex with her in a school closet has been jailed for four-and-a-half years.
I don’t disagree with the sentence. Lock him away.
It’s the judge’s comments which get me. Like this:
“You did not love her and you had no intention of leaving your wife for her.”
Like any of that should have made any difference?

Prosperity Gospel and the Mortgage crash

This article shows the damage that can be done in the name of the “Prosperity Gospel”.  How many people who could never have afforded to own their own home are now bankrupt because they overextended themselves in the name of prosperity.

How many of these pastor that push the message that you need more and more will now come out and say they were wrong in that we need more material wealth instead of spiritual wealth.

Prosperity’s central promise — that God will “make a way” for poor people to enjoy the better things in life — had developed an additional, dangerous expression during the subprime-lending boom. Walton says that this encouraged congregants who got dicey mortgages to believe “God caused the bank to ignore my credit score and blessed me with my first house.” The results, he says, “were disastrous, because they pretty much turned parishioners into prey for greedy brokers.”

The pastor’s not gonna say, ‘Go down to Wachovia and get a loan,’ but I have heard, ‘Even if you have a poor credit rating, God can still bless you — if you put some faith out there [that is, make a big donation to the church], you’ll get that house or that car or that apartment.
