Finally, about time!

TWO children have been sent to live with their father after a court ruled the mother encouraged “negative” feelings about their dad..
…Justice Benjamin said the “mother could see what was happening at change overs and did little about it”.

Justice Benjamin said the girl, B, was becoming “emotionally estranged from her father” and was at risk of “psychological damage, if not psychiatric damage” if she was not allowed to have a relationship with her father. …
Justice Benjamin ordered the children be removed from their mother’s care, and to see her for school holidays and Mother’s Day. She is also entitled to a phone call “each Sunday between 6.30pm and 7.30pm”.

Now this is funny

How many time do you get to see a union protesting against itself.

Enjoy the irony in this.

Listen up Turnbull

Wouldn’t it be great to see Rudd called to over his wasting money like Gordon Brown did here.

What was he thinking?

During a recent NSW same-sex adoption inquiry hearing, NSW Liberal MP John Ajaka tried to throw doubt on the make-up of the “normal” family and asked for statistics to support the Australian Christian Lobby’s statement that the vast majority of children are brought up in a heterosexual family environment.

In a reply to Mr Ajaka’s question on notice, the ACL has provided clear proof that a heterosexual family environment remains the majority, that is the normal, family environment.

The ACL cites a special Federal Government report entitled ‘Families in Australia: 2008’.

The report states: “Couple families (where the children are the natural or adopted children of both parents) are still the most common type of family with children under 18 years. In 2006-2007 they made up 73% of all families with children under 18.” (See page 13).

On page 14, the report goes on to state: “The 2006 Census suggests there are around 26,000 same-sex couples, making up less than 1% of all families. Around 11% of these families (or 2,900 families) had one or more children of any age living with them (ABS, 2006a).”

“Notwithstanding the devastating amount of family breakdown society has seen in the last couple of generations, it remains the case that the majority of children are being brought up by a mother and a father,” ACL National Chief of Staff Lyle Shelton said yesterday.

“This is something we can be thankful for as it provides by far the best environment for children, who benefit from the love and role models of both a mother and a father.

“We recognise that many single parents do great work in raising children under often difficult circumstances but that is a far different situation from a government deciding to deliberately put children up for adoption into a family situation where they won’t have a mother and father and the optimum benefits that brings.

“Same-sex law reforms passed by the Federal Parliament last year already provide same-sex couples looking after children with the practical rights and responsibilities of parents,” he said.

“We urge the NSW Parliament not to change adoption laws to suit the desires of a small number of people when this is not practically necessary and so clearly goes against the best interests of children.”

Detroit’s Beautiful, Horrible Decline

Some amazing photos of the decline in Detroit

The other false christian

Yesterday President Barack Obama issued an executive order that authorizes expanded federal funding for research using stem cells produced by destroying human embryos. The announcement was classic Obama: advancing radical policies while seeming calm and moderate, and preaching the gospel of civility while accusing those who disagree with the policies of being “divisive” and even “politicizing science.”

Another reason to get rid of the fake christian Rudd

Christians are dismayed that the Rudd Government believes abortion should take priority over proper birthing facilities for women in poor countries, the Australian Christian Lobby (ACL) said today.

ACL Managing Director Jim Wallace said the Government had caved in to pro-abortion advocates intent on imposing their agenda and ideology at any cost and, in doing so, had ignored the views of a great many Christians who have tirelessly given money to overseas aid and been among the strongest supporters of the Millennium Development Goals.

“This will be the first time in Australia’s history that our aid dollars are used to kill unborn children overseas,” Mr Wallace said. “However this is packaged it will result in aid money being used for an intent which is opposite to that of many of its most passionate advocates.”

Mr Wallace said there had been no requests from overseas countries for the ban to be overturned and that providing birthing clinics and trained midwives would be a superior way to address maternal health concerns.

“In late 2007, for the first time in Australia’s history, foreign aid funding became an election issue. This was largely as a result of a push for increased aid funding from churches and Christian organisations.”

“The great majority of Christians who pushed for this increased aid will be justly appalled to think that some of those aid dollars will now be re-directed towards ending the life of unborn children in poor countries.”

Mr Wallace said that the concern felt by Christians on this issue was demonstrated by the fact that they had sent more than 10,000 emails to Federal politicians as part of the ACL’s ‘Aid not abortion’ campaign.

The Rudd government has just announced that it has overturned the ban on foreign aid funds going to abortion services. Following in the wake of the pro-death Obama administration, the Rudd government has simply slavishly followed suit…This is part of Australia’s commitment to advance the Millennium Development Goals and to improve child and maternal health.” Let’s see if I got this straight: the government’s idea of improving a child’s health is to kill it. Am I missing something here?…Kevin Rudd campaigned before the election in an effort to win over gullible and naive Christians. He tried to paint himself as one of us. Sorry, but anyone who thinks baby killing is compatible with biblical Christianity is not on my side. He is on the other side, end of story.
